Meplis as consortium Technology Partner

Meplis is beneficiary in the Magnet4Europe project, a consortium with University of Pennsylvania - United States, University of Southampton - United Kingdom, University College Cork - National University of Ireland -Ireland, Technische Universität Berlin - Germany, Karolinska Institutet - Sweden, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - United Kingdom, King's College London - United Kingdom, Universitair Ziekenhuis Antwerpen - Belgium and coordinated by Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium

Multi-language Questionnaires

Meplis provided its B2B SaaS technology for creation of the multi-language questionnaires and the research study management system to allow all transactional communication, such as reminders and invites to be sent out in the different languages correctly and automatically.

Country Specific policy systems

The project requires, as in all clinical trials and research studies, to capture informed consent from the participants. In every country the privacy commissions had different requirements related to content and mechanisms to obtain this consent. Meplis implemented those requirements correctly.

Meplis Research Solution

In this project we used a multi-tenant setup; every country has a tenant that has a language and a policy system. Inside every tenant, we had up to 20 different pathways, one for each hospital in that country. Every hospital had its own QR code and invite URL to distribute the survey internally.

Participants could sign up or complete the questionnaires anonymously. The interfaces were available in all languages. We used one core questionnaire that was cloned for each country, maintaining variable encoding, and official translations were added with Meplis’ translation system.

Every country still had country-specific questions and/or pathways in each tenant could add country-specific questions. All data was exported daily during the research periods to allow for close monitoring of response rates.
