National Mental Health Research

The Wemeds Project has two parts. On the one hand, it will map the mental well-being of medical students and doctors in training within all Flemish universities (KU Leuven, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Hasselt University, University of Antwerp and University of Ghent). We do this on the basis of an annual online questionnaire that you can also complete. On the other hand, the project also want to take action to improve the situation within medical training by developing interventions.

Annual Questionnaires

The Wemeds.be project has annual questionnaires for the participants in the study. Participants have the possibility to create an account which makes it possible to get insights into longitudinal data. This is relevant as the project contains interventions for mental well-being of students in medicine.

Interuniversity Collaboration

The project contains inter-university collaboration, having participants from 5 Flemish universities. Data is encrypted in storage and transit and made available through weekly exports. The project also contains registration for another study, for which participants can inform their preferred data.

Signed policies & automatic reminders

The Wemeds project uses Meplis technology for community creation, content distribution, libraries, and scheduling and has embedded Questionnaires.

The questionnaires are built using the Meplis Algorithm, Survey, and questionnaire builder and the participant population is managed through the population management interface.

Participants are invited to the yearly surveys, need to accept and sign the participation privacy policy, and can receive reminders at predefined intervals by email, SMS, or WhatsApp.

We thank Wemeds.be for choosing Meplis as their trusted partner.
